Enterprise Zone

The UK Government has granted Enterprise Zone status to a significant area of development land in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft recognising the potential for the area as one of Europe’s leading locations for offshore energy.

A total of 224 hectares of development land with simplified planning permission is available within the East of England Energy Zone for energy sector-related businesses.

This includes 121 hectares on six sites within a designated Enterprise Zone created by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership at Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. In addition to simplified planning – a significant business advantage – the Enterprise Zone land offers business rate incentives and super-fast broadband.
