The East of England Energy Zone (EEEZ) was established by a pioneering partnership of regional business and political leaders to pave the way for future investment and development of the energy sector in Norfolk and Suffolk.
We bring together political and business support and all of the main agencies in the region along with access to the experienced supply chain through the regional industry body, the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), and the Chambers of Commerce for Norfolk and Suffolk.
The East of England’s position provides unique access to the Southern North Sea (SNS) and is home to the infrastructure and facilities for a vast range of energy including oil, gas and offshore wind. We are driving the transition to Net Zero and are pushing to confirm the area as the UK’s energy capital by proactively identifying and connecting people and businesses with opportunities, while also providing a gateway to Europe.
The EEEZ’s distinctive partnership provides a unified business and political approach to smooth the way for inward investment into the area and incorporates Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, East Suffolk Council and North Norfolk District Council. The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) also plays an important role by securing funds from Government to help businesses grow and delivers ambitious programmes to ensure that businesses have the funding, support, skills, and infrastructure needed to flourish.
The EEEZ delivers for communities by championing voices from across the area and listening to the views of all parties. Through placing innovation and forward thinking at the centre of what we do and establishing effective collaboration with our partners, the East of England can be recognised as a world leading energy region.
We are open and ready to assist potential investment opportunities and can make life as straightforward as possible for interested investors Get in touch to find out more or to see how we can help your business to grow through the EEEZ.
